My first year here was okay it wasn't the best but the students here are great. A lot of people have changed over this year and some have shown us their true feelings twards some people but none the less we all still love each other. But being a 9th grader but when next year comes it will be easier than this year has been hope new pepole come and the new freshman kids won't be such a problem.

Mr. Chang was talking about how people at our school is stealing and taging our school. I think that who ever tags and thinks their cool their not. Its just a stupid thing to do, and if you steal then you are labeld as a thife.

There wasn't a myth for this kind of drug. My opinion about this drug is teens should be careful of the things they do. If you and some friends are a party and you happen to put down a drink don't pick it back up. Your drink my be druged with GHB you never may no so be careful.

Well this year is almost over and "it is time to say good-bye to yesterday" no more waking up in the morning and putting on this uniform. We don't have to worry about doinfg any homework until next year. But we can't forget each other though we have to keep in touch even in the summer. And for all the pepole that I said that "I didn't like you "or" you get on my nerves" you probably still do but I will always remember you. And to everyone that I meet like: Johnathan R. thank you for being so funny and for being a good friend. Kristy W. for being crazy but yet speacking what you feel should be heard and don't take nothing from no one. Spencer for trying to stay smart even when it doesn't work and for being a great buddy. Ashely for being the first person that I met when I first came here. Amarha I 'm the only person that spells your name this way but thanks for being a good person and friend. Jovanna thank you letting me be your friend and for making crazy songs with you one day they will be hit records. Val for being a funny person and being the second person that i met, it was great working with you this year. Sam thank you for introducing your self to me when I first came. The seven o' clock news

Today in Mr. Hsu's class we watched a video about the Animo schools and about how they are really helping the LAUSD schools by changing their minds on how they can help to get Latinos and Blacks make it to college. I also say alot of people from the school on the show including myself its funny to see other people on T.V.

1.He talked about why the school is the way it is. He talked about his life and how he lost part of his family.
2.I really didn't find anything that he said to be interresting to me. I wasn't boring I just didn't think anything he said to be important.
3.I think that he is a nioce guy who is trying to make a change but, I think it may not work but then again things come out in a different way, than you think.
4.No he didn't talk about leadership and making a change in your life. But he did say that if you want something then you must make sure your grades are good and that you have a good G.P.A and then you get what you want.

Which hole are you in now?

1. No he didn't fall into holes in the street he just used that as an example of when you don't do things right away then you dig your-self a hole until you decide to get outof it. And start doing what you know is the right thing to do. I haven't fallen into any holes for my-self i try to do things that will help me not fall into holes.

2. I'm in hole IV. I use to have a fail in science when I saw that I was like no my grade needs to come up. Which it did and now I have a c+ but I'm turning in some work which my grade will rasie even higher.

3. I'm about to be on V when i turn in my work. But in order for people to get there you must take over your grades and take control of your education. Just turn in your work and try to do extra credit.

Student Meeting

1. I feel that what they both did was stupid. Luis shouldn't have brought the gun and Chris shoudn't have shot the gun at Mr.bear. It was wrong and now they know not to make wrong decisions like that.
2.The decision that was made I didn't like because if they were there to see what really went down. But sometimes when someone crosses the line you have to pay the price.
3.To me as being in ASB I felt that some of the kids didn't want to really hear what we had to say. And yes I didn't speak that much was because the way students were acting they wouldn't want to hear my look on things.
4.in the future people will have to think twice about the decisions they make because those decisions can make or break you in life.

Small School Rallys

1) No i'll really don't believe that a made a difference because yes people did honk they're horns but that still doesn't mean anything.

2)Taking politacl action is taking control of something that you think is right. Standing up in what you belive in and doing whats right. I'm not the type that really get into things even if i do believe in it.

3)The rally never did make me a leader I was just out there showing my support for what was going on. But for other people they may have thought they were a leader.

4)Everyhting was coolnothing went wrong we were all saying our schools. But everyone thought there school was the best. But it was good going there with the other kids.

5)I really didn't have nothing to dislike about it. I did like the fact that people did show there support. Next time we should have more kids than last time and then go to a movie or mall.

1)Luis Rolriguez said he a gang related because he wanted power. Do you think that Luis has power now?
A. No, the only power that he has is to help his family and the pepole around him. But he only thought he had power in the gang, now looking outside of the gangs he has nothing. The only power that he has to me is letting pepole how gangs really are and how you don't want to be in one.

2)Do you think Luis is a leader?
A. Yes, he is a leader in his own community but not as a civil rights leader. He is a leader in his own family to his friends and everyone. Luis is not ready to take on the presure of becoing a leader for the people because he only has the experince in gang violence which would be better for him to talk about.

1)Luis Rolriguez said he joined a gang because he wanted power.Do you think Luis has power now? Why or Why not.
A. Yes, the only power that he has is to keep as many kids as he can out of trouble. Another power that he may have is keeping his own family and friends out of gang related things. Those are the only things that he has in his power to do. But as far as being the ruler of something i have to say no. No one can have power to take over anything unless you have pepole to help you gain that kind of power.

A. No, because his life was a life that a child should not want to follow. But to look at it and find a way to make there life better than what his was. Luis has had alot of things that he could tell gangs about that may help stop the violence. On a leader basic I would have to say not civil rights leader. A. I was born Malcom Little on May 19, 1925 in Omaha,Nebrasa.

2.Who were your parents and what did they do?
A. Louise Norton Little was his mother. She was a homeworker occupied with the family's eight children. Earl Little his father was an outspoken Baptist minster and avid supporter of Black Nationalist Leader Marcus Garvey.

3.How was life growing up?
A.I was a smart,focused student. Igraduated form junior high at the top of his class. However, when a favorite teacher told me my dream of becoming a lawyer was "no realistic goal for a nigger,"I lost interest in school. I dropped out,spent sometime in Boston,Massachusetts working various odd jobs,and then traveled to Harlem,New York where he commited petty crimes.

A. In 1946 they were arrested and convicted on Burglary charges, and I was sentenced 10 years in prison. I was paroled after serving seven years.

What is a leader

To me a leader is someone who can stand up for what they belive is true. Their are a lot of ways that describe a leader. A good leader is a person who does whats the right thing to do.That person makes sure that if someone needs help, they are their to help. A bad leader is the opposite of a good one.They don't care about the team they won't do anything to help anyone but themselves. I really haven't been such a leader because i'm kind of shy, so i'm not that great. I consider Rosa Parks,Hairret Tubmean my leaders because thy faught in what they thought were right. They gave a good fight and they made a difference.

The story that I listened to was a HIP HOP: Today's Civil Rights Movement. In the story, there were two pepole were talking about how hip hop music relates to civil rights. Also how it cares a positive message. In the interview they played some songs that held a positive message. To me i think that pepole who haven't heard of rap should take the time, because it holds a very goog message.

There was never a time when i put my self in a bad situation. I try not to do things that won't get me into trouble. Because I like to hang out with my friends and go out all the time . So getting in trouble. I would tell other students that its important to work hard in order to be great in life. If they don't want to learn then its fine with me i gave my thought on what they should do. I disagree because if kids don't want to learn then they just don't. You shouldn't worry your self about kids that don't want to learn.

My Winter Break

My Winter break was a good one. I did a lot of things, during the past two weeks. The first week I went to my friends house, and we went to the Southbay mall.On chrismas eve my mom and I went to my cousin Monicas house were all the family was. The next day which was chrismas my godmother came, by to say merry chrismas and I got a cute shirt from her.After that I went to my aunt Pams house to hang out with them for a while. 12/28 I went to spend a few days with my cousins and then on Friday I went to San Diego, with my Aunt Jerrie her husband and their cousins. It was so much fun out there we stayed at her daughter Jazz.

THERE WASN'T ALOT OF KIDS THAT WERE THERE BUT ITS ALRIGHT. SATERDAY WAS FINE I WENT WITH MY COUSIN ERICA TO GO SEE THE MOVIE RAY. THAT MOVIE WAS THE BEST. ITHINK THAT JAMIE FOXX SHOULD WIN AN GRAMMY. SUNDAY I DID NOT GO TRICK OR TRICKING I DON'T KNOW WHY BUT I JUST DIDN'T.

1. I think that the elections aren't going so good. Some people are saying and doing things to other people who are running. I feel since I'm running for vice-president then it could happen to me. And if it does trust me something will be done about it.

2. He is saying that he feels that people are taking things in a different way then its suppose to be. All he wants is us to have a good year, he wants to sit back knowing that everything is going to be okay with us in charge of the school body.

3. We should choose a canidate that is going to listen and make a change in the school. The students want to have a homecoming, football and basketball team. These are just some of the thing that the students want here at this school. We need to have more freedom. Some of us may not be here next year so would like to have a good one.

4. All I can do is just pray that everything will be okay,and that the students here would choose the right person. If they don't choose the right person then thats on them I can't change they're vote or they're mind.

Today I read about a young boy who lives in Irqua. He talks about how he started school on October 1, 2004. He is in the 12th grade the 12th grade assisent, told him to be in class D. But class D has no books so they share books with class H. He said that its weird because he akes up at 1pm. And school startes at 8am, the school said that they will be starting teaching next Saterday. All the do is just talk about the importance of school. He wants to do good and get good marks so that he can get in the best college in Baghdad.
